fine grounds cold dining area broken radiators small fan
the grounds were fine and the staff was friendly. i arrived around 2pm and decided to have lunch while waiting for my room. the dining area felt cold, though many reserved tables remained empty during my time there.
The radiators in my room were broken. this. Eventually, they gave me a small fan, though it did little to help.

the building HAS character. The furnishings were interesting. I found my bedroom to be quite spacious.
the room LOOKED tired. It did not feel like a 5 star hotel. The drains in the bathroom had an odor, that was unpleasant.

wedding planner extra touch
the wedding in late may was like a fairytale. samantha, the wedding planner, handled everything beautifully, i felt completely at ease. the suites had grand pianos adding an extra touch of elegance.
i would have liked more time in the pool, it closed a little early.

the hotel features a good sized pool with sauna and steam rooms available for guest use. i saw helpful staff available throughout the facilities and premises. free parking is another advantage of staying here.

room 9, located on the first floor, offered a private experience. the room featured spacious areas, including a bedroom, desk, and a large bathroom (a real treat!). large windows gave fine water views.

breakfast offered plentiful choices, i found a good quality. the creamy yoghurt stood out as particularly tasty. i attended a festive lunch, the food and service impressed me.

the location is good for scenic travel. glasgow is easily accessible by car. the hotel is also near a local train station, so that is convenient (about 20 mins to the city).
