fine grounds cold dining area broken radiators small fan
the grounds were fine and the staff was friendly. i arrived around 2pm and decided to have lunch while waiting for my room. the dining area felt cold, though many reserved tables remained empty during my time there.

the building HAS character. The furnishings were interesting. I found my bedroom to be quite spacious.
the room LOOKED tired. It did not feel like a 5 star hotel. The drains in the bathroom had an odor, that was unpleasant.

the wedding in late may reminded me of a fairytale. samantha, the wedding planner, handled everything beautifully, i felt completely at ease. the suites had grand pianos adding an extra touch of elegance.
i would have liked more time in the pool, it closed a little early.

the location is good for scenic travel. glasgow is easily accessible by car. the hotel is also near a local train station, so that is convenient (about 20 mins to the city).
